Connor McGonigal returns to the Fremont Moo for the 2024 season as Head Coach. Last season he served as Assistant Coach. McGonigal is a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls with a degree in Elementary Education. He is a third grade teacher at Hartman Elementary in Omaha, Nebraska.
McGonigal is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated from Omaha Burke High School in 2017. After high school, he attended McCook Community College where he was a member of the baseball team as a starting pitcher. After McCook, he spent a year playing at William Jewell College, a division 2 program in Liberty, Missouri. McGonigal then finished his schooling and playing career at the University of Sioux Falls, a division 2 program in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Ben Ascher returns to the Fremont Moo for the 2024 season as Associate Head Coach. Last season he won a title with the Moo while serving as Head Coach. Ascher will be joining Marian High School in Omaha, NE as their College Counselor after a year as the Director of Enrollment at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Baseball Coach and Director of Enrollment at Niagara University in Niagara Falls, NY as well as working with the Niagara Power, a Summer Collegiate Baseball team in the Perfect Game Conference, as an Assistant Baseball Coach.
Ascher is originally from Galesburg, IL where he attended Galesburg Senior High School. After high school, Ascher attended Carl Sandburg College on a baseball scholarship winning the Arrowhead Conference Championship in 2008 before joining the US Navy in 2009 as a Petty Officer First Class. Ascher earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in Education and Recreation Administration in 2015.

Rich Ray is in his third year as Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations with the Fremont Moo. Prior to the Moo. Ray worked in commercial radio for 25 years, with positions at KHUB in Fremont, Nebraska, KJAM in Madison, South Dakota and KTTT in Columbus, Nebraska. Ray is an award-winner sports broadcaster, receiving numerous recognition from State and regional broadcast associations. He was named the Nebraska Sports Broadcaster of the year in 2009 by the Nebraska Coaches Association. He was inducted into the Midland Hall Of Fame in 2022. Ray has extensive media relations experience as well, as he served as Sports Information Director at Midland University, in Fremont from 2006 to 2011. A native of Blair, Nebraska, Ray received his Bachelors Degree from Midland Lutheran College in 2010, with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sports Coaching.
