The score remained that way until the top of the sixth. Arnold led off with a double, then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Joey Coolbaugh. The next batter, Tyler Traphagen hit a high chopper against the drawn-in infield that Tyler Hummel had to step back and leap to field at second, then leaving him with only a throw to first to retire Traphagen, but scoring was Arnold to make it 4-0, Oahe.

Fremont's lone run came in the bottom of the sixth. With two outs, Tyman Long hit a solo home run over the left field fence on a 3-2 pitch from Zap starter Kaleb Hay, to make it 4-1.
