Pierre, South Dakota- For the fourth consecutive game the Fremont Moo bullpen could not hold a lead, and the Moo lost to the Oahe Zap, 8-7 in ten innings, Wednesday night at Hyde Stadium.

Oahe struck first in the bottom of the first inning. Trevor Seagraves was hit by a Brody Sintek pitch and Jackson Mix doubled, to put runners at second and third. Andrew Beavers hit a flare over Andrew Kirchner's head at first base, into shallow right, scoring Seagraves and Mix to make it 2-0, Oahe.

Fremont grabbed the lead for the first time in the top of the fifth. Kirchner singled and Neil Jansen walked to put runners at first and second. Tyler Hummel laid down a bunt and Zap first baseman Jacob Trusner fielded the ball, but his throw to first was high, and sailed all the way down near the right field corner, allowing Kirchner and Jansen to score, plus, Hummel advanced to third. Easton Steck was hit by a pitch to put runners at the corners. Ben Swails then hit a bouncing ball behind the third base bag, which Beavers fielded and threw home to get Hummel, trying to score, for the first out. Two batters later, Tyler Harrington hit an RBI single, plating Steck, to make it 3-2, Fremont.

The Moo extended the lead in the top of the sixth. Jason Clark swung at starter Garrett Bergman's 3-2 pitch and hit a solo home run over the left center field fence, to put Fremont up 4-2.

Fremont added to the lead in the seventh. Facing relief pitcher Braden Villabrille, Steck walked and then advanced to second on a balk. Ben Swails singled to put runners at the corners. Fremont then executed a double steal, as Swails swiped second and Steck sprinted home, to make it 5-2. Swails then stole third and on an errant throw by the catcher, he scored, making it 6-2. Henry Hayman walked, stole second and got to third on another wild throw by Zap catcher, Garret Arnold. Then, Tyler Harrington hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Hayman to put Fremont up 7-2, going into the seventh inning stretch.

In the eighth, Oahe got a run back. Against Moo reliever Cole Hupke, Tyler Traphagen tripled to right center field then scored on a Hupke wild pitch, making it 7-3.

The Moo maintained the four run advantage going into the bottom of the ninth. Then disaster struck. Darius Blasingane came on to pitch, but struggled. He walked Trusner to begin the inning, then got Arnold to fly out to right for the first out. Then, Blasingane hit Carson Trumpold with a pitch and walked Gage Huffman to load the bases. Blasingane got pinch hitter Preston Lau to fly out to right for the second out in the inning. However, Blasingane walked Tyler Traphagen, scoring pinch runner Gavin Starcher to make it 7-4. Trevor Seagraves followed with a base hit off a 3-2 pitch, scoring pinch runner Kaleb Hay, to make it 7-5. The Moo went to the bullpen and brought in Jacob Ortiz to try to get the game's final out. Ortiz walked Mix, scoring Huffman to make it 7-6. Then, Andrew Beavers drew a walk, scoring Traphagen to tie the game at seven. Ortiz got out of the ninth by getting pinch hitter Trentin Duchscherer to hit a bouncer to Harrington at third, who stepped on the bag to force out Mix, and send the game to extra innings.

In the tenth, Fremont began with Jayson Willers as the placed runner at second base. Jason Clark laid down a bunt to the left of the mound, but pitcher Brady Glenn fielded it and threw to third, where Willers was tagged out for the first out of the inning. Kirchner then singled, putting runners on first and second. However, Glenn got Neil Jansen and Tyler Hummel to both fly out to left field, ending the inning.

Oahe took advantage of the opportunity in the bottom of the tenth. Jarred Heck was the placed runner at second base, to begin the inning. Fremont then elected to intentionally walk Garrett Arnold to set up a force at any bag. Then, Jacob Ortiz hit pinch hitter Kyle Memarian with a pitch, to load up the bases. The next batter, Gage Huffman, hit an 0-1 pitch from Ortiz back up the middle into center field, scoring Heck, and ending the game in walk-off fashion, 8-7.
